1. Art in Bloom Academy

As if it could be anywhere else! Our painting classes are both fun and educational. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to confidently man an easel, and we’ll do it in an environment that’s more ‘painting party’ than ‘painting class’.

Have the freedom to select from a range of options, including our ever-popular wine and paint nights, our BYO painting parties, Painting with Puppies charity events, and acrylic pouring workshops. 2. The Browne School

The Browne School offers a range of short and evening courses, in addition to a selection of year-long programs. More for the experienced or serious artist looking to really dig into their craft, the tutors and facilities here are fab.

3. Studio One Toi Tū

Studio One Toi Tū is one of our favourite places to create, and the home of our weekend BYO wine and paint events. In addition to giving us a home, they also run an array of art classes across almost any conceivable discipline. Check them out here!

4. Community Education

Auckland Community Education does a wonderful job of providing Aucklanders with opportunities to discover or rediscover new talents as an adult. Held across a range of locations, with everything from art classes to music, photography, and boating available.

5. Selwyn College

Selwyn College offers a number of affordable options for keen artists looking to upskill in a friendly environment. While these painting classes tend not to be as lively as a wine and paint, you’re likely to learn plenty.
